35. Setting the release plate
Note:
This adjustment should only be carried out if a compelling reason exists.
Requirement:
Both tension release levers 69 and 70 should have a clearance of 1.5 mm to the blue and/or green
thread tension barrels (figure 59).
Setting:
● Remove the front housing panel in accordance with the adjustment and repair instructions.
● Remove the screws 71 and their washers (figure 60).
● Remove the thread tension barrels completely from the housing.
● Slightly loosen the screw 72 (figure 54).
● Move the connecting plate until there is a clearance of 1.5 mm to the tension disc of the green
thread tension barrel.
● Tighten the screw 72.
● Loosen the screw 74
● Move the small release plate 68 until there is a clearance of 1.5 mm to the blue thread tension barrel.
● Tighten screw 74.
● Place the thread tension barrels into the housing.
● Insert the screws 71 with washers and tighten the screws (figure 60).
Test:
● As described under “Requirement”.
