20 – Preparations
1. Replace the sewing needle with a twin needle.
Make sure that the presser foot and needle are in
the up position.
2. Place the auxiliary spool pins in the designated
slots on the top of the machine, then add the felt
pads for more stability.
3. Place the threads on the spool pins
4. Pull the threads into the thread guide (A) from
front to the back and thread guide (B) from back
to front.
5. Pull the threads between the tension discs (C).
6. Continue bringing the thread down through the
right threading slot, around the U-turn, then
back upwards through the left threading slot.
7. Bring the thread from the right into the take-up
lever (E).
8. And then bring the threads down in the left-hand
threading slot and to the needle thread guide (D).
One thread should be placed inside the needle
thread guide (D) and the other one outside.
Make sure the threads do not become twisted
together.
9. Thread the twin needle manually from front to
back.
10. Touch the Single/Twin Needle button for opti-
mal results when sewing with a twin needle.
