Firmware Update Using a USB Device
It is always recommended to install the latest rm-
ware in your machine.
Visit the PFAFF® website at software.PFAFF.com
and nd your machine. Here you will nd the avail-
able updates. Follow the steps below to download
and install the rmware update.
1. Download the update rmware zip le. Unzip
the le and copy the le (.clo) to a USB device.
Note: Do not change the name of the le or do not copy
the le into an existing folder on the USB device. Make
sure that the name of the le is “sg_rmware_update.
clo”.
Note: Make sure that there is no old rmware update le
(.clo) on the USB stick when copying the new rmware
update le (.clo). The le name is not unique.
2. Connect the USB device loaded with the new
rmware version to a USB port on your machine.
3. Turn on your machine with the ON/OFF switch
and touch the Menu Button.
4. Touch the rmware button. After the rmware
update is veried, touch ‘Install’. Do not turn off
the machine.
5. Restart the machine when the update is complet-
ed. Check the software version number in the
settings menu under the rmware page.
Note: Make sure that the USB stick you use has the
format FAT32.
Automatic Thread Cutter
When selected, the threads are cut automatically
after sewing a sequence or after sewing a single
stitch e.g. a monogram or eyelets. If deselected, no
automatic thread cut will be performed.
Needle Position
Select if you want your needle up or down when
the machine stops sewing.
