If the higher-level control system is in the STOP state, an ar-
row appears in the bottom line of the display pointing to the
lettering on the front panel. This lettering is host-specific and
indicates the state of the host system, e.g.:
BASP (Siemens) Output inhibit
SYSFAIL (VME bus) System failure
NETFAIL (Ethernet) Network failure
STOP (Allen-Bradley) Control system in
programming mode
LAB (Bosch) Stop state
16 Status segments
16 square status segments on the left side of the display pro-
vide the basis for the binary representation of input and output
words. Also, they are used for some other menu items.
