Replacing INTERBUS Components
Replacing the INTERBUS Controller Board
When replacing the controller board, proceed as follows:
1. Note the system-related safety information.
2. Switch off the operating voltage of the host system (PLC,
VME bus computer, PC).
3. Unplug the remote bus cable from the controller board.
4. Remove the controller board.
(In controller boards with pluggable parameterization
memory, the memory card must be inserted into the new
controller board.
5. Transfer the memory settings to the new controller board
(jumpers/DIP switches).
6. Insert the new controller board.
7. Plug the remote bus cable into the controller board and
screw it tight.
8. Switch on the operating voltage of the host system.
9. Start the host system.
VMEbus Systems
The front plate of the controller board for VMEbus systems
must be connected conductively with the rack. Therefore,
transitions between the front plate and rack must neither be
anodized nor painted!
PC
The cover plate of the PC controller board must be connected
conductively with the PC housing. Tighten the screw of the
cover plate carefully.
The bus system stops!
The settings on the controller board should be put
down in writing and, if they are not quite clear, be
verified by means of the user manual of the control-
ler board.
Tighten the screws of the remote bus cable only
manually when reconnecting it. Otherwise, the
threads may be torn out.
