Chapter D - ADJUSTMENT & CALIBRATION
D-6 Planmeca Proline CC panoramic x-ray
Technical Manual
Press the horizontal segment selection key to select the next primary slot. The number 1 will
appear on the horizontal sector display. This is the second primary slot. Repeat the previously
described alignment checking procedure for this beam. If this beam is not aligned correctly refer
to sections
“Primary slot calibration” on page D-7 and “Radiation beam too far to the right or left”
on page D-8 for information on how to align the beam. When it has been checked the number 2
and number 3 slots must be checked.
Figure 5
If the x-ray unit is equipped with the Transversal slicing system, the slot number 1 is replaced
with the slot number 7. The radiation beam from slot number 7 must be slightly wider than the
rectangle marked on the alignment tool and the same height as the rectangle.
Figure 6
By repeatedly pressing this key you can select each slot in turn so that they can be checked and,
if necessary, adjusted.
Figure 7
When all the slots have been checked, and if necessary adjusted, exit the service mode and take
a ball phantom exposure to check the position of the patient positioning mechanism, see section
“PATIENT POSITIONING MECHANISM” on page D-10.
