Measuring Q-Check Focus Error and Tracking
Error
This function reports on the mechanical characteristics of the disc you’re using in the
PlexWriter Premium drive. It measures the amplitude of the laser focus error and
tracking error, and displays the results. This test is conducted on blank media to
determine the capabilities of the drive/media combination.

• Show FE: Specifies that laser focus error will appear on the graph.
• Show TE: Specifies that laser tracking error will appear on the graph.
• Start: Begins the test.
• Preferences: Displays the Q-Check FE/TE Test Preferences window.
