CAMSHAFT SERVICE
REMOVAL
1. Remove the camshaft sprocket. Refer to Camshaft
Sprocket Service page 3.38.
2. Remove the fasteners
w
securing the camshaft
bearing caps
e
to the cylinder head and remove the
bearing caps.
3. Lift the camshaft straight up to remove from the
cylinder head.
INSTALLATION
1. Reinstall the camshaft into the cylinder head.
2. Install the camshaft bearing caps
e
and hand-tighten
fasteners
w
.
3. Torque the camshaft carriers in the sequence below.
TORQUE
Camshaft Bearing Caps:
7 ft-lb (10 Nm)
ENGINE / COOLING / EXHAUST
