REAR HUB IDENTIFICATION
The two hubs can be identified with the table below. Each hub will use a different quantity of washers to be used during
installation. The torque specifications are also different between the two hubs. After the hub is identified, refer to the
applicable Service Manual instructions for the correct removal and installation procedures.
IMPORTANT
Both hubs use Belleville style washers. All Belleville washers must be installed with the dome side facing out.
ALUMINUM HUB (PN 5137431) IRON HUB (PN 5142964)
• Casting indentations

will be offset from the wheel
studs.
• Non-Magnetic – Inspect using a small magnet.
• Uses TWO Belleville washers

(PN 7555796).
TORQUE
Rear Wheel Hub Castle Nut:
Aluminum Hub – 110 ft-lbs (149 N·m)
• Casting indentations

will be inline with the wheel
studs.
• Magnetic – Inspect using a small magnet.
• Uses ONE Belleville washer

(PN 7557134).
TORQUE
Rear Wheel Hub Castle Nut:
Iron Hub – 180 ft-lbs (244 N·m)
