4. If unable to extract the dowels, remove the case plug

to access the oil pump sprocket.
5. Remove the sprocket bolt

and slide the sprocket
off the oil pump.
6. Lift the oil pump straight up to remove.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the oil pump pickup is clean and free of debris.
INSTALLATION
1. Lift the oil pump drive chain and install the oil pump.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the oil pump shaft if aligned with the water
pump shaft.
2. If necessary, slide the sprocket on the oil pump and
install the sprocket bolt

and case plug
e
. Torque
to specification.
TORQUE
Oil Pump Sprocket:
7 ft-lbs (10 Nm)
Case Plug:
22 ft-lbs (30 Nm)
ENGINE / COOLING / EXHAUST
