HAZARDOUS AREA WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The SE4-A transducer comes certified for use in the following hazardous locations. Please visit our website for
copies of the approval letters from the certifying agencies.
Individual copies of the specific control drawings for proper installation are also available for download on the
website, included with the shipment of each meter as a stand-alone document, and located within this manual in
Appendix A.
Standard:
CSA C/US Non-Incendive for Class I, Div 2, Groups A, B, C, D
Optional with Intrinsic Safety Barriers:
CSA C/US Intrinsically safe for Class I, Div 1, Groups C,D; Class II, Div 1, Groups E,F,G; Class III; Encl. Type 4
or
ATEX/IECEx Zone 0, Ex ia IIB T4 Ga
When using optional intrinsic safety barriers, follow the instructions in the control drawing for proper adherence
to the conditions of acceptability. When the intrinsic safety barrier option is purchased with the DFM 6.1, the
proper barriers come pre-installed inside the DFM 6.1 electronics housing.
