Punkt. MP02 Mobile Phone - Instruction manual
Date and Time
24
Automatic or manual setting
The MP02 can be set to have the time and
date updated automatically by the mobile
network provider, if this is part of their
service.
To turn automatic date and time
setting on or off
From the Main menu, select Settings,
then Date and time.
The current setting will be displayed
within the menu.
To change it, select Mode and then
press the key.
Press the End or Back key to exit.
To ascertain whether automatic time and
date setting is available, either contact
the network provider or try entering a
time that is slightly inaccurate and see if
it is corrected. (There may be a delay
before this happens.) Keep the difference
fairly small, to avoid problems with the
time/date stamp attached to text
messages.
Setting the date manually
Ensure that manual time setting is
activated, as described above.
From the Main menu, select Settings,
then Date and Time.
The current date will be displayed
within the menu. Note that it is in
middle-endian format (month first).
To change the date, select it and use
either the Up and Down keys or the
number keys to alter each entry
(month first). Use the and Back
keys to move between the fields.
To finish, press the key with the
year setting highlighted.
Setting the time manually
Ensure that manual time setting is
activated, as described above.
From the Main menu, select Settings,
then Date and Time.
The current time will be displayed
within the menu.
Select Time, and then the current
time as displayed in the menu that
follows.
Change the hours and minutes
settings, and the AM/PM setting if
applicable (phone set to 12-hour clock
display) by using the Up and Down
keys or the Number keys. Use the
and Back keys to move between fields.
To finish, press the key with the
final entry highlighted (hours or
AM/PM).
Choosing 12-hour or 24-hour
format
Ensure that manual time setting is
activated, as described above.
From the Main menu, select Settings,
then Date and Time.
The current time and format will be
displayed within the menu.
Select Time, then Format. This will
cause the phone to switch between
12-hour and 24-clock format.
Press the End or Back key to exit.
Reactivate automatic time setting, if
required.
Alternate time zone
The alternate time zone feature makes
it possible to quickly change the
MP02’s clock to match a different time
zone. (Note that this will affect the
time/date stamp applied to text
messages.)
To select a different time zone
From the Main menu, select Settings,
then Date and Time.
The current time zone will be
displayed within the menu.
To change this, select it and then
move across the map by using the
Up and Down keys.
When the required time zone is
indicated, exit by pressing the
key.
