ATestCallfeatureisavailableforthepurposesof
testingyourDSCVHFradioforcorrectoperation.
Thereare2typesoftestcall:
•TestcalltotheUSCoastGuardautomatedresponse
testcallservice(MMSI:003669999).Thistype
oftestcallwillreceiveanautomatedresponse
(acknowledgement).
•Testcalltoanothervesselthathasaradiothat
supportsthetestcallfeature.Y ourradiowill
automaticallyacknowledgetestcallsreceivedfrom
otherradios.
ForradiosthatdoNOTsupportthetestcallfeature,
correctradiooperationcanbetestedbymakingan
individualcallonchannel70toanotherDSCVHFradio.
Raymarinerecommendsthatonceyou'vesuccessfully
placedatestcallyouaddthetestcallMMSItoyour
radio'sphonebookforeasyretrievalforfuturetestcalls.
