WithPeakHold,therespectivelastpeakvalueisheldforthedurationofHoldTime.
TosetandactivatePeakHold,dothefollowing:
1. PresstheModebuttonuntilthePKHLEDislit.
2. Pressthecbuttontobothsetandactivate.Thedisplayreadsin0.1
seconds.SetPeakHold
from0.1to299.9seconds.IfPeakHoldissetto300.0seconds,ahardwareresetisneededto
triggeranotherreading.IfPeakHoldissetto0.0seconds,thefunctionisdeactivated.
3. PresstheModebuttonuntiltheCorFLEDislit.
IfPeakHoldhasbeenactivated,thePeak
LEDwillstaylit.
OncePeakHoldissetabove0,itautomaticallyactivates.Theoutputsignalremainsthesameuntilone
oftwothingshappens:
Thepeakholdtimerunsout.Inthiscase,thesignalrevertstoactualtemperature.
The actual temperature goes above the hold temperature. In this case, starts holding new
peak.
Notethatotherholdfunctions(likeValleyHoldorAveraging)cannotbeusedconcurrently.
Bymeansofthesoftwareotherholdfunctionsareadjustable(e.g.AdvancedPeakHold).
6.2.6Averaging(AVG)
Averagingcanbeusefulwhenanaveragetemperatureoveraspecificdurationisdesired,orwhena
smoothingoffluctuatingtemperaturesisrequired.
The averaging algorithm simulates a first order low pass RC filter whose time constant can be
adjusted to match the user’s averaging needs. The following figure illustrates an
averaging output
