9.4ResponseTimeinSetupMode
The analog output responsetime is not guaranteed whilea parameter value is being changed or if
thereisacontinuousstreamofcommandsfromthehost.
ThedigitalresponsetimespecifieshowquicklytheunitcanreportatemperaturechangeviaRS485in
burst mode. (Digital response time is not
defined for polled mode.) The digital response time is
defined as the time that elapses between a change in target temperature and the transmission of a
burststringreportingthenewtemperature.Actualdigitalresponsetimecanvaryfromonereadingto
thenext,sothedigitalresponsetimeis
definedasthe“averagedigitalresponsetime.”
Theaveragedigitalresponsetimedependsonthenumberofcharactersrequestedintheoutputstring
andwiththebaudrate.Itmaybecomputedasthefollowing:
