Extract from the risk assessment
General cautiousness (6.3.2)
The power- , pneumatic- and control- , and data lines from and to the printer must be laid protected against
damage. Substances that are on the ground must be picked up with a suitable device and disposed professi-
onally.
Residual risk (6.3.3)
During electrical operation, certain parts inevitably carry lethal voltages. There are also circuits in the switch
cabinet that carry dangerous voltages even when the main switch is turned o. If this danger note is not
heeded, Death or severe injury and damage to the equipment can be the consequences! Therefore, the
access to electronic devices, switch cabinets and power distributors is permitted only for specialists.
Electronic devices, switch cabinets and power distributors carry the following warning label:
The specialists must be completely familiar with the content of this manual. When any work is carried out on
electronic devices these ve electro technical safety regulations must be followed (EN50110):
1. Disconnect
2. Prevent from being switched back on.
3. Determine unstressedness
4. Earth and short circuit, if possible
5. Insulating of adjacent live parts and elements
National security guidelines must be heeded and complied with!
It should also be noted that the safe and reliable operation of the device requires appropriate transporta-
tion, correct storage, installation and assembly and diligent handling and maintenance.
Noise (6.3.4)
The noise emission is below 70dB
Removing of products (6.3.5)
For removing heavy objects auxiliary equipment might be required
Potential hazard from the CO2 device (6.3.7)
Please observe the regulations of the manufacturer regarding the minimum space.
Fire hazard (6.3.10)
There is risk of re due to overheating of the printing heads, dusts and abrasions of lament on hot
surfaces and hot servo drives. The device as well as the workplace must be cleaned daily. Servo drives can
become very hot, they must be cleaned regularly. Commission and operation by qualied and trained
personnel only. You must take measures for re protection that are not included into the device. (Provi-
sion of re extinguishers and re blankets, ban on smoking)
