2.1 Operating mode
When the X500 is connected to the power supply you can start your printer by using the main switch at the
back and the key at the fron of the printer.
After a short initialization phase the startup screen appears on the display and the printer is ready to use.
In this mode you can upload Gcodes, heat up the machine and traverse the axis.
If you open the lid while a 3D print is currently running the printer will
shut down immediately and the executed print is lost.
2.5 Maintenance mode
When operating in maintenance mode, it is possible to work with an open maintenance lid. This mode is
intended for repair and maintenance work only!
The maintenance mode must be set up by a trained professional only!
WARNING:
Surfaces as well as the extruder and printed object will remain hot for
some time after the printer shuts down.
3. Network and printer set up
To establish a connection with the X500 you must rst check your computer´s network settings and adapt
them, if necessary. Then you can launch the setup routine and put the printer into operation.
3.1 Connection via router
If necessary, contact your network administrator about integrating the
X500 into your network.
If your network settings are DHCP based, the X500 is automatically assigned an IP address. In this case the
X500 just has to be connected through a patch cable to your network.
Then you can see the printer´s assigned IP address as well as the MAC address on the LCD display.
