• To encrypt the data transmitted for specifying various settings with an application using SNMPv3,
specify [Permit SNMPv3 Communication] on the machine, configure the network administrator's
[Encryption Password] setting, and then specify the encryption key in the application.
• If network administrator's [Encryption Password] setting is not specified, the data for transmission may
not be encrypted or sent.
