Protecting the Address Book
If user authentication is specified, the user who has logged in will be designated as the sender to prevent
data from being sent by an unauthorized person masquerading as the user.
To protect the data from unauthorized reading, you can also encrypt the data in the Address Book.
Configuring Address Book Access Permissions
This can be specified by the registered user. Access permission can also be specified by a user granted
full control or the user administrator. For details about logging in and logging out with administrator
authentication, see p.30 "Logging in Using Administrator Authentication" and p.32 "Logging out Using
Administrator Authentication".
You can specify who is allowed to access the data in the Address Book.
By making this setting, you can prevent the data in the Address Book from being used by unregistered
users.
1. Press the [User Tools] key.
2. Press [System Settings].
3. Press [Administrator Tools].
4. Press [Address Book Management].
5. Select the user.
6. Press [Protection].
7. Press [Program/Change/Delete] for "Permissions for Users / Groups", under "Protect
Destination".
8. Press [New Program].
9. Select the users or groups to register.
You can select more than one user.
By pressing [All Users], you can select all the users.
