3.7.3 Checking and replacing the storage cylinder
anode (GITRÈ 5 B/100 model)
Proceed as follows to check the condition of the magnesium an-
ode:
− Remove the top panel (1);
− Close the DHW circuit shut-off cock;
− Connect a plastic hose to the hose union and partly emp-
ty the storage cylinder through the storage cylinder drain
cock;
− Remove the magnesium anode (2) using a suitable box
spanner;
− Check the magnesium anode for wear and replace it if
necessary.
