FM Radio
Operating your radio in FM mode
1. Carefully extend the telescopic aerial fully and press the On/Standby
button to switch on your radio.
2. Press and hold the Mode button and then select the FM radio mode
(see page 6).
3. Press and hold the Tuning Up button for several seconds then
release. The displayed frequency will increase. Your radio will scan
up the FM band from the currently displayed frequency and will stop
scanning when it nds a station of suf cient strength.
4. The display will show the frequency of the signal which has been
found. If RDS information is available, after a few seconds the display
will show the radio station name.
If you only hear hiss or interference, simply press and hold the Tuning
Up button to scan further. Your radio may have found a spurious
interference signal.
5. To nd more FM stations press and hold the Tuning Up button to
repeat the scan operation. To scan down in frequency, press and
hold the Tuning Down button for several seconds and then release.
Your radio will scan down the FM band from the currently displayed
frequency and will stop scanning when it nds a signal of suf cient
strength.
6. When the end of the waveband is reached your radio will recommence
tuning from the opposite end of the waveband.
7. Use the Volume buttons to adjust the sound level as needed.
