How to Replace the Ink Cartridge
WARNING
Never store ink, cleaning liquid, or discharged uid in any of the following locaons.
• Any locaon exposed to open ame
• Any locaon where high temperature may occur
• Near bleach or any other such oxidizing agent or explosive material
• Any locaon within the reach of children
Such locaons present the risk of re occurring. Accidental ingeson by children may pose a health
hazard.
IMPORTANT
• Be sure to replace each pouch with an item of idencal type and color.
• Never use an ink pouch that has already been used in another machine even if it is an idencal type.
• Never mix dierent types of items.
• Never leave the machine with an ink cartridge removed. The print heads may become clogged.
• Never insert or remove ink cartridges with undue force. Ink may leak.
• Never remove an ink cartridge suddenly while the printer is in operaon.
Procedure
1. Check the number ashing on the screen.
The ink in the cartridges whose slot numbers are ashing has run out or has exceeded its shelf life.

2. Open the front cover.
3. Shake a new ink cartridge of the same type and color 50 mes (about 20 seconds).
The precipitaon of the ingredients in the ink disables prinng in normal color. So that the ink mixes well,
shake the ink cartridge horizontally with a stroke length of around 5 cm (2 in.) from each end of the ink
cartridge.
4. Pull out the empty ink cartridge and immediately insert the new one.
• Insert the cartridge so that the side with the arrow ( 1) faces up.
• Insert and remove cartridges slowly, one at a me.
5. Close the front cover.
