Parally Restricng the Print Heads Used for Prinng
When dot drop-out or dot displacement is not improved even if "INK RENEWAL" and "HEAD WASH" are per-
formed, parally restrict the print heads to use for prinng (i.e. prevent the use of the print heads that are causing
discharge issues). This operaon is called the "nozzle mask," and while it slows down prinng speed, it also allows
you to decrease the impact of dot drop-out or dot displacement.
First print a test paern, and then select the print heads to use in prinng from the test results. Aer that, use
VersaWorks to limit print heads used for prinng.
1. Set the machine so that the print area is set each me the media is set up.
Prevent prinng in the incorrect posion by specifying the print area each me before seng up the object to be
printed on.
MEMO
To print in the same posion repeatedly, specify "DISABLE" for this seng.
