Operaon cannot be connued. Check whether or not there is an error in the data. Check for a problem with the
connector cable or the computer, and redo the operaon from seng up the object to be printed on.
INK SHELF LIFE EXPIRE 123456
One of the ink cartridges is expired.
The numbers of the cartridges whose ink has exceeded its shelf life ash. Aer pressing [ENTER], replace the car-
tridge indicated by the ashing number.
This message is displayed when the sub power is turned on for the rst me aer the ink has expired. A buzzer
sounds at the same me the message is displayed.
You can sll connue to use the printer without replacing the ink cartridge. However, connuing to use an ink
cartridge that has exceeded its shelf life may lead to the following problems and malfuncon.
• Ink leaks from the ink cartridge.
• The ink viscosity increases, leading to ink discharge issues (which may result in decreased output quality).
• The ink hardens, leading to printer malfuncons.
We recommend that you replace any expired ink cartridges. For informaon about purchasing ink cartridges, con-

WRONG CARTRIDGE
A cartridge that cannot be used was installed.
Remove the ink cartridge to clear the error. Use an ink cartridge of the specied type.
WRONG HEAD IS INSTALLED
An unusable print head has been installed.
Turn o the sub power. Aer turning the power o, contact your authorized Roland DG Corporaon dealer.
AVOIDING DRY-UP TURN POWER OFF
The print heads were forced to standby posion to prevent them from drying out
Operaon cannot be connued. Switch the sub power o, and then back on. Opening the front cover while print-
ing is in progress causes an emergency stop. Never allow the print heads to remain in this state.
