Soft Panels for Ultritouch
A soft panel provides Ultritouch access to the sources, destinations, levels, and/or salvos that are available on the
associated Ultrix router. The soft panel configurations are part of the Ultrix database so any instance of DashBoard
or Ultritouch connecting to a given router has the defined soft panels available.
This chapter summarizes the elements of a soft panel for Ultritouch, and the interfaces used to create and manage
these soft panels in your Ultrix database.

Overview of the Ultrix Soft Panels Editor
Ultrix provides a template for creating soft panels that can be loaded and used on an Ultritouch to control the Ultrix
routing system. The required template is available in the Ultrix> Database > Panels interface in DashBoard for the
router. Once you configure and save the soft panel to the router database, you can then load the soft panel onto any
Ultritouch communicating with that router.

The soft panel editor is organized into six selectable tabs. Each tab, starting from left to right, is briefly summarized
below.

Info Tab
Use the options in the Info tab to assign a unique identifier to the soft panel, and how the panel will perform tasks as

Use the options in the Levels tab to specify the number of levels for the panel, and organize them in a hierarchy for
the panel.
