Your telephone's answering machine comes
with two answering modes:
- Answer only: callers cannot leave you a
message and an OGM informs them of your
unavailability.
- Answer and record:an OGM invites your
callers to leave messages.
The telephone answering machine models also
offer the following functionalities:
- Anonymous mode with pre-recorded
OGMs.
- Call screening.
- Remote message retrieval.

Enabling/disabling the
answering machine
When your answering machine is off, the
base indicator is green.
When it is on, the indicator turns red. An icon
also appears on the handset display
according to the answering machine mode
used:
- Answer only
- Answer and record
On the navigator key , press or
until the ANS. MACH screen is displayed.
Press OK to confirm.
Select ON/OFF using or . Press
Valid. .
A screen displays the current status of the
answering machine (answer only, answer
and record or off).
• To keep the displayed status, press
Valid. .
• To change the status, press Edit .
- To activate the answer and record
mode, select ANS. & RECORD.
- To activate the answer only mode,
select ANSWER ONLY.
- To turn off the answering machine,
select DEACTIV..
Press Valid. .
The OGM that will be used is played. At the
end of the playback, confirm the new status
of the answering machine by pressing
Valid. .
If you have not recorded a personal
OGM, the answering machine will
automatically use the pre-recorded
OGM.
- You may deactivate your
answering machine using the keys
on the base. To do so, press the
button for a few seconds.
- To activate your answering
machine, pressing the button
will switch the answering machine
recorder on. Pressing it again will
enable you to move from the
answering machine recorder to the
simple answering machine.
