Issue 04 : July 2005
Reproduction and communication prohibited without the written permission of Sagem Communication
Ethernet bridge or to combine both E1 and Ethernet. In this case, the useful bandwidth for Ethernet is
reduced.
To configure Ethernet capacity, run the Pilot software in super user mode.
The following screen appears :
Modulation Scheme
Selection
Ethernet Capacity
and E1 selection
Ethernet and Tributary input alarms
Use Tools / Ethernet Configuration
menu to configure Ethernet
parameters
Two buttons are used to configure Ethernet and E1 capacities :
The left button
indicates current radio channel bandwidth, the number of
additional E1 involved, and the current Ethernet bandwidth.
14M/9xE1+Eth(17M)
Current radio channel Bandwidth = 14 MHz
Other possible values 3.5M (3.5 MHz)
7M
(7 MHz)
28M (28 MHz)
9 E1 tributaries installed
Other possible values
0xE1, 1xE1, 2xE1, 3xE1,
4xE1, 5xE1, 7xE1
Current Ethernet Bandwidth = 17 MHz
Other possible values : refer to Table 6.1
Note : for the highest data rate, an additional E1 is always available (Trib #9), and is not configurable.
This E1 does not appear on the Pilot capacity selection screen.
