The right button indicates current modulation scheme : toggle between QPSK and 16QAM.
Before configuring the Ethernet bandwidth, the user has to define first the following parameters :
What is the radio channel bandwidth ? 3.5 MHz, 7 MHz, 14 MHz* or 28 MHz*
What is the modulation scheme to be used ? QPSK or 16 QAM. Note that 16 QAM modulation
is not available for 3.5 and 28 MHz radio channels.
How many additional E1 are required ?
* Note : 13.5 MHz and 27 MHz for 18 GHz band.
Ethernet capacity configuration is to be made using the same rules as defined for nxE1 systems :
When configuring capacity for the first time, the transmitter must be in mute position
Depending on the current configuration and the target configuration, it should be necessary to
change first modulation scheme or Ethernet capacity.
When upgrading a link which is operating, remote capacity change is performed automatically
from the local terminal
When clicking on the capacity button (left) the following screens appears :
Ethernet Bandwidth Selection for QPSK Modulation
