The right button indicates current modulation scheme : toggle between QPSK and 16QAM.
Before configuring the Ethernet bandwidth, the user has to define first the following parameters :
• What is the radio channel bandwidth ? 3.5 MHz, 7 MHz, 14 MHz* or 28 MHz*
• What is the modulation scheme to be used ? QPSK or 16 QAM. Note that 16 QAM modulation
is not available for 3.5 and 28 MHz radio channels.
• How many additional E1 are required ?
* Note : 13.5 MHz and 27 MHz for 18 GHz band.
Ethernet capacity configuration is to be made using the same rules as defined for nxE1 systems :
• When configuring capacity for the first time, the transmitter must be in mute position
• Depending on the current configuration and the target configuration, it should be necessary to
change first modulation scheme or Ethernet capacity.
• When upgrading a link which is operating, remote capacity change is performed automatically
from the local terminal
