DVMT 3.0 automatically and dynamically allocates as much (as configured
in the BIOS - see Page 5 - 5) system memory (RAM) as needed to the video system
(the video driver must be installed - see page B - 1). DVMT returns whatever
memory is no longer needed to the operating system.
DVMT Notes
DVMT is not local video
memory.
DVMT will not function
in MS-DOS. DOS uses
the legacy memory indi-
cated.
