8.5 Error status register
The error status register is used to indicate controller or system errors. In modem operation
mode when the controller connects to the building control system (GLT) both when an error is
detected and when it has been corrected, each change in the status of the error status regis-
ter causes the controller to dial the control system. You can define which error messages are
to be passed on over the device bus after entering the key number 0025. The default setting
of 465 results in just the error messages highlighted in the table (bold) causing a change in
state of the error status register. Errors registered over the device bus always cause a change
in state of the error status register, regardless of whether the decimal value of “16” is in-
cluded in the total or not. The included value of “16” merely causes the fault output BA13 to
be set with the setting CO5 -> F07 - 1.
Using the function blocks in the configuration level CO8, individual controller inputs that are
not used can be assigned as binary inputs to the error status register. Either the open or
closed binary input can be regarded as the error. “Err 8” error message is indicated by the
controller if at least one of these configured inputs reports an error.
Note: If any of the free inputs should issue binary signals directly to the building control sta-
tion, bypassing the error status register, activate the function block concerned in the configu-
ration level C08, but select – – – in the function block parameter.
