2.2.7.2.FuserUnitMainComponents
TheFuserunitincludesthefollowingcomponents:
1)Centerheaterlamp(LAMP1)/Sideheaterlamp(LAMP2)
Thesehalogenlampsheatthedrum-fuserbelt.Thecenterheaterlamp(LAMP1)andthesideheaterlamp(LAMP2)are
litalternatelytoheatthedrum-fuserbelt.Eachheaterlamphasitscoilinadifferentlocation.Thecoilofthecenter
heaterlamp(LAMP1)isinthecenter,thoseofthesideheaterlamp(LAMP2)areonbothsides.Theheaterlamps
arexedinsideofthedrum-fuserbeltsothattheywillnotrotateseparately.
2)Drum-fuserbelt
Thedrum-fusebeltconductsheatgeneratedbytheheaterlamptothetonerandpaper.Thethinfuserbeltreduces
warminguptimeandmodechangingtime.Topreventthefuserbeltfromadheringtothetoner,thesurfaceofthefuser
beltisuorinated.TheRigidassemblycontactswiththenipinsidefuser-belt.Tochecktheproperwidthbetweenthe
fuserbeltandthepressureroller,itispressedonpressurerollerbythespring.
3)Pressureroller
Thepressurerollerisarubberrollerwhichensurespropernipwidthbetweenthepressurerollerandfuserbelt.Itis
controlledbytheexternaldrivemechanism.
4)NCsensor
NCsensordetectsthesurfacetemperatureofthecenterandcontrolstheheaterlamps.
5)Thermostat
Thesethermostatscutoffthepowersupplytotheheaterlampsbyopeningthecircuitwhenthefuserbeltbecomes
abnormallyhotasaresultofproblemssuchasaNCsensormalfunction.Thesethermostatsareusedtopreventabnormal
operation.Whenthethermostatistriggered,itmustbereplaced
2.2.7.3.FuserDrive
TheDriveMotor[A]drivesthePressureroller[B]throughthegeartrain.Thefuserbelt[C]isdrivenbypressurewith
thepressureroller.
