Minimumdetectabledimension
This parameter is used tofixthe minimumvalid detectable dime nsionforthe sensor.If an object
dimensionissmallerthanthisvalue, theopencollectoroutputisnotactivatedandtheseriallinkwill
senddimensionandpositionwithzerovalue(0).If thedetectedobjetislargerorequal
tothisvalue,
thePNPandtheNPNoutputwillbe activated.Theactualdimensionandpositionreadoutwillalso
besentontheseriallink.Whentheoutputisactivated,thePresenceLEDisset“on”.Thelogicofthe
output can be inversed.This is done via the
logic output parameters.In such a case, the logic
describedinthissectionisalsoinversed.
According to the sensor model and the selected scanning resolution, different dimensions can be
detected.TheSIM‐Pmodulewillonlydisplaytheavailabledetectablevaluefortheactualsetupand
sensorheadlengthconnected.
Eachtimethatyoupushthene xtvaluebutton,thenextdetectable
dimensionisdisplayed.Thesameprincipleisappliedifyoupushthepreviousvaluebutton.
Thispar ameterworksinconjuncturewith themaximumdetectabledimension.Whenyoutryto
enteranewvalue,iftheminimumisnot
equalorlowertotheactualmaximumdetectabledimension,
onecannevervalidatethis parametervalue.NomatterthenumberoftimeyoupushtheEnterbutton
tovalidate;thisvaluewillcontinuetoflashandneverbecomesthenewvaluesetfortheminimum
detectable dimension. One canchoose
anewvaliddimensionormodifythemaximumdetectable
dimension with a valid value according to the desire minimum detectable dimension to be
programmed.
