Check the buffer and its horizontal support (if available) for any damage.

Clean the buffer casing.
2 Clean the plunger and oil lightly.

Check the oil level with the indicator. The minimum (B) and maximum (A) oil
levels allowed are marked on the indicator.

Check the HP dimension when the buffer is fully extended.

Check that the safety switch operates smoothly and works correctly.
