16. MAINTENANCE
The positioner Type 024.16.720 is maintenance-free when operated according to the instructions in this
manual.
16.1. Serviceattheairintakelter
DANGER!
Risk of injury from high pressure in the equipment!
Before dismounting pneumatic lines and valves, turn off the pressure and vent the lines.•
Toprotecttheinternalsolenoidvalvesandtheactuator,thepressuresupplyairisltered.
Thedirectionofowoftheairintakelterininstalledstateisfromtheinsidetotheoutsidethroughthelter
material.

Procedure:
→ Unlockthequickconnectorbypressingtheholdingelementandpullingouttheairintakelter(ifnec-
essary,useasuitabletoolinbetweentherecessesintheheadofthelter).
→ Cleanthelteror,ifnecessary,replacethelter.
→ Check inner O-ring and, if required, clean.
→ Inserttheairintakelterallthewayintothequickconnector.
