3.3.20 CP2-EAS-00
The CP2-EAS-00 module provides the ability to interrupt Encoder playback and switch
to an external transport stream. This feature is for the US market and requires the CMP
chassis to be set for ATSC standard.
Common applications are Emergency Alert Systems for Broadcast applications.
Hospitality installations will use this feature for Audio Muting and Slate images.
The trigger to switch video content on the Encoders can be sensed using a DC contact
closure or the SCTE-18 EAS standard over ASI/IP.
When the EAS is actively replacing the encoder outputs the output will show “Paved”
status in the web-interface. The CMP will then router the EAS IP, ASI, or RCA input to
replace the other Encoder module output.
