An appropriate amount of coolant is essential to
prevent the cooling system from freezing in winter.
The coolant provides anti-corrosion, anti scaling,
anti boiling, and anti freezing protection as low
as - 40 ° C.
Regular checking of the coolant level is part of the
maintenance work.
When the range extender coolant temperature is too high,
the symbol " " will be displayed on the instrument
and will always be on. When the battery / motor pack
coolant level is too low, the symbol " " flashes on the
instrument.
The following measures shall be taken:
●
Close the range extender and wait it to cool.
● Park the vehicle.
● The warning message is still displayed when the
range extender coolant level is correct. Do not
continue driving.
● Troubleshoot
When the amount of liquid in the battery pack cooling
system is lower than the recommended level, the
instrument will display a warning message. Stop as
soon as safety permits and contact SERES after sales
service center. If the vehicle continues to move after the
warning symbol is displayed, there is a risk of damage
to the range extender.
• In order to maximize the performance and
service life of the battery and motor, the
cooling system selects a specific type of
coolant with the model of df-7-40 ℃. For
more details on coolant, please contact the
SERES after sales service center.
• It is recommended to check the cooling
system before winter to ensure that there is
enough antifreeze to cope with winter weather
conditions. This is particularly important if
you plan to drive to cold areas.
• There are fans and some moving parts in the engine
room area. When we operate in the engine room, our
hands, fingers, clothes, necklaces or long hair may be
drawn into the engine room fan or transmission belt and
other moving parts. The engine room fan is installed
under the front engine room cover. After the range
extender is closed, the engine room temperature will
continue to be monitored for about 1 minute. During this
period, depending on the temperature, the engine room
fan may continue to operate or suddenly start to operate.
• Only operate in this area after the range extender is
closed, and take extra care to ensure that certain parts
of the body, clothing or jewelry do not get caught in
the radiator fan, drive belt or other moving parts.
• After the range extender is closed, if the coolant is
still at high temperature, do not open the expansion
tank cover.
