5 Mounting
5.1 Mounting instructions
•
Observe the technical data.
•
Protect the sensor from direct sunlight.
•
To prevent condensation, avoid exposing the device to rapid changes in tempera‐
ture.
•
The mounting site has to be designed for the weight of the device.
5.2 Mounting the device
1. Mount the distance sensor using the fixing holes provided, see "Dimensional
drawing", page 42.
2. No minimum distances required for parallel or opposite mounting.
3. Make the electrical connection. Attach and tighten the tension-free cable, see
"Connecting the device electrically", page 17.
4. Switch on the supply voltage.
✓
The green operating LED lights up.
5. Align the light spot so that the desired object is measured.
