3.3.3 Power supply
The primary side power supply (FDnet/C-NET) is always supplied with power via
the FDnet/C-NET detector line. The secondary side must always be supplied with
power via an external DC 24 V supply. The primary and secondary sides are
electrically isolated. In addition, any inputs/outputs that are configured as contact
inputs are electrically isolated from the 24 V supply.
Damage to the device due to nominal currents > 2 A or 1 A
To safeguard the device, the 24 V supply must be protected with a fuse of
max. 2 AT.
Take the connected load into account when selecting the fuse.
If two outputs are in use, fuse each of the control lines with a fuse of
max. 1 AT.
If one output is in use, fuse the control line with a fuse of max. 1.5 AT.
Use 'slow-blow' fuses.
Do not connect the 24 V supply until you have configured the input/output
module.
