modules SM 326; DI 24 x DC 24V or SM 326; DO 8 x DC 24V/2A PM in applications, which have standard
requirements to EN298 (Automatic gas burner control systems for gas burners and gas burning appliances
with or without fans) and IEC 61326-3-2 (Electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory
use), note the following features:
With the surge protection components*) specified in the installation manual, the CPU
can attain the limit values for surge immunity as specified in the technical data only in a
grounded operation.
If you have a configuration in which no protection elements are necessary because
either no surge protection is necessary in your plant or other protection measures have
been taken, you can also use the ungrounded configuration
