6.3. Preparation
Before attending site to install a Sicore II camera check that you have the following pre-
requisites:
• Installation tools as described above in section 6.1.3.
• Ensure that the camera is the correct variant and has the correct options fitted for
the application.
• Correct installation bracket.
• Any required Communication equipment (site specific).
• Communication network configuration information (site Specific).
• Sicore II connecting cables of the correct length
• Camera Power Supply
• Sicore II Handbooks
6.4. Cables
Sicore II is equipped with three multi-pin connectors as described in section 5.6. The Main
cable must always be fitted as this provides power to the Sicore II. Depending on the system
design, one or more of the Aux connections may be used. Where no Aux connections are
required, the attached sealing cap must be fitted to the unused connector(s).
Custom cables for all connectors (Main and Aux) are available from Siemens in various
lengths as shown in Appendix B Section B.1
