Power Unit and Safety Device
The power unit (for example a contactor combination) is activated via the digital
outputs of the FM 351. The FM 351 has four control modes (see Section 8.3, page
8-6).
If the safety device responds, (EMERGENCY OFF switch or hardware limit
switch), the power unit turns off the motor.
Motor
The motor is controlled by the power unit and drives the axis.
