20.3 Switching the make-proof grounding switch to GROUNDED position
Ö Verify safe isolation from voltage supply of bus bar.
Verify the position of the switch through the viewport.
Ö Establish safe isolation from supply if required.
Verify that the bus bars and the panel feeder of the make-proof grounding switch are
isolated from supply.
Ö Remove padlock (if present) from control gate of make-proof grounding switch.
Ö Push control gate of make-proof grounding switch to the left and hold.
Ö Insert operating lever (with red grip) onto operating shaft of operating mechanism.
Ö Move operating lever down to the "GROUNDED" position.
The bus bar grounding switch is in the "GROUNDED" position.
Ö Remove operating lever.
Ö Install padlock at center position of control gate of make-proof grounding switch (if
desired).
Ö Stow away operating lever.
The make-proof grounding switch is protected against unauthorized use, if the
control gate is padlocked.
