24.4 Cable sheath testing
Ö Isolate the panel feeder to be tested.
Ö Isolate all sources of voltage from the cable circuit to be tested, and lockout
switching devices to prevent re-energization.
Ö Verify safe isolation from sources of voltage.
Ö Ground the cable to be tested.
Ö Remove the cable compartment cover (see “Removing the cable compartment
cover” on page 92).
Ö Isolate the cable shield from the ground connection.
Ö Perform cable shield test in accordance with cable manufacturer’s
recommendations.
Ö Reconnect the cable shield to ground.
Ö Reinstall the cable compartment cover.
The cable shield has been tested. Other cable shields can be tested, or the panel
can be put into operation again.
25 Replacing HV HRC (current limiting) fuses
Always replace the HV HRC (current limiting) fuses in all three phases.
The actions described in this section are in logical order. In practice it may be necessary
to deviate from the sequence recommended here.
25.1 Preparing fuse replacement
Ö Ground transformer panel (see Operation, Page 77).
Ö Remove cable compartment cover (see “Removing the cable compartment cover”
on page 92).
The cable connection compartment with the HV HRC (current limiting) fuse links is
accessible.
