Function Description Type
"Select" icon For multimachine functions such as
deleting, upgrading, or exporting, all
machines or individual machines can be
selected or cleared.
SELECTION
Internal name,
Manufacturer
Manufacturer
number,
Manufacturer ID
This selection is used to specify which
information is displayed in a column.
DISPLAY
SELECTION
V ePS Network Services:
Version 3 or 4
DISPLAY
"Gear wheel" icon The color changes to green to indicate
that a machine is active or connected.
DISPLAY
"Sheet" icon Lines displayed on this icon indicate that
machine logon is required to operate ePS.
An arrow indicates that logon is not
necessary.
DISPLAY
Details Company, location, and production unit
are the details from the machine master
data that are displayed.
DISPLAY
Device class Displays the device class selected in the
machine master data (SINUMERIK,
SIMATIC, IPC).
DISPLAY
"Create machine as
copy" icon
Creates a new machine with same
settings as an existing machine.
Only a new machine name (ID) must be
uniquely assigned.
ACTION
"Export machine"
icon
If you want to run an individual ePS
machine with another server, export the
machine and import it again on the other
server.
The machine must first be disconnected
before it is exported.
ACTION
"Activate machine"
selection
Activate the machine for the purpose of
using the ePS Network Services. Deacti-
vated machines cannot use ePS Network
Services.
TOGGLE
ACTION
Delete machine Deletes a machine permanently. Data is
no longer available for this machine.
ACTION
Selected machine If an individual machine is selected, it is
displayed again separately, as described
above.
NN
Export Launches the export function when
multiple machines are selected.
