Measure the input and output resistance
1. Disconnect the load cell.
2. Measure the input voltage between EXC+ and EXC-.
3. Measure the output voltage between SIG+ and SIG-.
The resistances must correspond to the values specified in the data sheet or in the
specifications.
Measure the jumper resistance
1. Disconnect the load cell.
2. Measure the resistance between SIG- and EXC-.
3. Measure the resistance between SIG+ and EXC+.
4. The difference between the two values must be no greater than 1 Ω.

Measures in the event of overloaded load cells
A frequent fault that can result in failure of load cells is overloading due to
dynamic overload
transverse forces
When you establish that the cause of the fault was overloading, further measures are
necessary.
Dynamic overload
Example:
Unintentional falling of a relatively low weight onto the load carrier from a great height.
Possible measure:
Install shock-absorbing components, e.g. elastomer bearings
Overdimension the load cells
Transverse forces
Example:
Accelerating or braking loads onto a platform.
Possible measures:
Install guide elements
Install oscillation limitation or set it to a lower value.
