3 Basic Operation
Turning the Radio On and Off
Pressing the red On/Off button briefly will switch the radio On. After a brief delay the
display will revert to the Idle Screen, at which time the radio is ready for use. The radio
can be programmed to automatically power-up in DMR or Analogue modes.
Pressing and holding the red On/Off button for approximately 2 seconds will switch
the radio Off.

If the radio Inactivity Timer is enabled, the radio will automatically turn off after a
preset period of inactivity (i.e. no buttons pressed by the user). Prior to switching off,
the radio will emit warning beeps for 10 seconds. Pressing any button will reset this
timer.
The radio can also be set up to switch on automatically with the Vehicle Ignition
whenever the vehicle is started.
Password Screen
The FPP has a ‘Password’ option. If enabled, then the radio will wait for the user to
enter a 4-digit number before the radio will enter the operational state.
When entering the 4-digit numeric password, a '*' will be displayed for each key press.
After the 4th numeric key press, the radio will display the welcome screen if the
password was correct.
