To Unlock the keypad:
n The radio will display 'Unlock' next to the F1 key.
n Press the F1 key followed by the ‘*’ button within 2 seconds
n When the F1 key is pressed, the radio will display 'Now Press *'.
n When the star key is pressed, the original F1 button label will be redisplayed.
Volume Adjustment
Once the radio has powered up, use the +/- buttons on top of the microphone to
adjust the speech level at the loudspeaker. Whenever the volume level is adjusted, the
display will briefly show the current volume setting.

Note: The radio may be programmed so that the volume can never be turned off
completely.
Selecting a Zone
Zones are groups of channels that are intended to be used in a particular geographical
or functional zone (e.g. North, South, Security, Fire Control). The radio supports up to
40 zones, each with a maximum of 250 channels. A radio must have at least one zone
defined to be functional and a channel may be used in more than one zone.
