Other Selcall Functions
The SDM622 has several other functions that affect how the radio operates with
received Selcalls.
Depending on the particular incoming Selcall, the receive screen can show arbitrary
text such as ‘EMERGENCY’ or ‘ALL CLEAR’ instead of identifying the caller and
displaying their status.
Consult your Dealer or local technician for a detailed explanation of how your radio has
been set up for Selcall use, or if you require Selcall to be configured.
Speaker Volume Menu
This menu allows the user to set the default value of the radio’s audio volume control
for user comfort.
The level can be set in 33 steps over the range 0 to 32, with 0 (zero) delivering no
sound, 16 is normal level and 32 giving the maximum possible output from the
speaker.

Use the ▴ and ▾ keys to select the relative speaker volume level. A beep will sound at
the indicated level each time the setting is changed.
To accept and save the setting and return to the previous screen, press the Select key.
Text Message Menu
A radio unit can receive and transmit predefined short messages and text messages
with another radio unit on a DMR channel.
The Messages menu allows the User to view a preset menu screen from which the state
of the various digital message systems in the radio can be checked. The message
systems are:
n Inbox
n Send Status
n Send Template
n New Message
