If incorrect, the radio will sound an error beep and clear the screen to allow the user to
try again.
If wrong pin number is entered 3 times, the radio will switch off.
Welcome Screen
The FPP has a ‘Welcome Text’ option, and if enabled, the radio will display a text
message for 2 seconds while the radio initialises.

Key Lock
The Keypad Lock function prevents accidental key presses.

The keypad lock function is enabled with the FPP during configuration. If this function
is activated, the key lock icon will be displayed on the bottom right-hand side of the
display when the keypad is locked.
Note: When the key lock is active, the PTT, Alarm Key (if assigned) and Reset Key (if
assigned) are not affected, and display messages, icons and normal radio operation
are not affected.
To unlock the keypad, press and hold down the ‘Unlock’ key for 2 seconds. After 2
seconds, the key icon will disappear and the keys will be enabled.
The keypad will automatically re-lock after a period of 10 seconds following no key
activity.
