Removal
BURN AND HIGH-PRESSURE
HAZARDS
Allow the hydraulic components to
cool to room temperature before
performing service. Loosen the
hydraulic hoses and fittings slowly to
relieve pressure.
NOTICE
When installing the removed hose and fitting, it must
be tightened according to the specified torque. See
Hydraulic Hose and Fitting Tightening Proce-
dure, page 2-8.
1. Operate the machine to raise the platform to a
certain height to ensure the safety arm can be fully
set up.
2. Set up the safety arm and lower the platform
appropriately, so that the safety arm can support
the platform effectively.
CRUSH HAZARD
When the platform descends,
make sure your hands and the
rest of your body are away from
the scissor arm.
3. Tag and disconnect the pressure sensor and wiring
connected to the lift control valve.
4. Tag, disconnect and plug the hoses and fittings
connected to the lift control valve.
5. Remove the screw securing the lift control valve to
the cylinder.
6. Remove the lift control valve.
Regulating the Platform Lift Relief Valve
Pressure
Notice
Make sure that the hydraulic oil level is at the “FULL”
mark on the tank gauge.
1. Place max rated load on the platform, and ensure
the load is properly positioned (refer to Machine
Specifications, page 2-1 for details.)
2. Turn the key switch to ground control position, and
pull out the emergency stop buttons on both ground
and platform controllers to ON position.
3. Use a wrench to hold the lift relief valve and remove
the nut.
4. While flipping the platform lift switch, turn the hex
socket wrench clockwise until the platform rises to
the highest position.
5. Fully retract the platform.
6. Add loads up to 1.2 times the rated load on the
platform and place them properly.
7. Try raising the platform, but the platform cannot be
raised.
8. If the platform still rises, turn the hex socket wrench
counterclockwise until the platform cannot rise.
9. Install the nut properly.
10. Remove loads from the platform.
11. Raise the platform to the highest position, if there is
entrained air in the pump or the platform fails to
reach the highest position, add hydraulic oil until the
pump works normally. Never allow hydraulic fluid to
overflow the tank.
